It was true when they said time passed in a twinkle of an eye...if not, how could we explain that it was already October and approaching Jun's birthday? This little imp who came only a few months ago, had become such an integral part of our little family...we could never have envisaged how much sweeter, more delightful life could get, if not for this gift from heaven
brought Jun to JEM to shop and it felt like I was a first time mum with jie jie all over again...except I was wiser, more mature, more relaxed and...eh...nonchalant about all the mischievous things jun was getting into...hahaha
well, this little one was splashing so merrily, I had no heart to stop him, so we had to buy a tee from H&M. Of all the days on which mama did not bring an extra change of clothes (which was rare), this had to be it. Yet via serendipity, I found one really adorable one which was going for $5 and won praise from the dandy papa...
went to town to wait for papa to knock off from work, we were seeking solace at the church next to his office...what a serene and quiet spot
dinner at Clarke Quay and saw this heart of locks...nice. tonight, we had a boys' date and a girls' date. papa took tong and jun to saunter about, while mum and jie checked out a kooky shop called Naise that carried really whimsical stuff. Well, we should really implement these dates in the near futue..
the three endearing ones in matching Sempcorp tees, haha...Xiao mama was feeding the rascal (which they said should be ras-boy, instead of ras-girl)
on other peaceful days when the big ones were at the kindy, we played in the house, lazed on the bed, gazed into nothingness and just chilled
never brought this car out at all...well, it was surely a white elephant
tong loved to wear matching tops with his darling didi
ha taken by jie jie
yup, the kids' eyes always lit up when they saw the colourful and dazzling balloon displays at church
this was the week of land of flowing milk and honey
ha, tong took this blithe photo of his virtual pet and it looked irresistibly cuddly
went to Slappy cakes for brunch on a sunny Sunday, check out the boys in their matching polo tees
they were always up to no good...jun loved to disturb and wake tong up and cuddle so snugly with him, evoking protests from jie jie who claimed jun did not love her as much
jun was the only person who could get away from slapping and head-butting gor gor to wake him up
while jie did some craft, we went outdoors
then we sought relief in the air conditioned mall again
ah, more about our toddler, who loved to follow me around as I did my chores
who was developing his unique personality, as one week away from his birthday, he had picked up shaking his head VIGOROUSLY to indicate no
who was always busy and had his hands full exploring stones, dirt, getting into whatever that caught his eyes. He was definitely ONE CURIOUS adventurer. He had displayed such precociousness, from picking up symbols very easily and early (like waving bye when we parted with people), clapping hands, doing gongxi gongxi..
walking, sucking from a straw...he even knew how to find his water bottle when I asked about it...
someone with a mind of his own...who was so affectionate (he liked to rest his head or wrap his arms around the person he was supposed to saying)...
who was all together lovely...
except, he had been sleeping badly and protesting in loud bursts recently ever since he started walking, so he had been spanked and hollered at on one harrowing night when mama got so dissed that he kept waking up every 10 minutes...whatever happened to that gentle soul?
another day at church with the bumblebees
well...there had been many happenings..but mama had been doleful and not keeping track of the events, taking photos...or blogging the ones that papa brought the kids to...oh well...I tried...
heh but we were definitely gonna blog about Jun's birthday celebrations (erm 2, coz papa loved parties and jun was the last one he could legitimately do parties for so he wanted to go with a BLAST)...and December would be here sooner than we know, and we would be meeting up with friends again...YAY.
