To the malls - Touchwood and Mell Square
With papa at work, we were left to our own devices again. So today, we went to the nearby malls. It was a great thing that our apartment was near the town centre!
Walking along the picturesque street...
First store that we checked out - the toy shop. We spent close to an hour just browsing in this store.
A human was swallowed by the shark! Argh!
Jun loved all kinds of vehicles, he was checking out a cement mixer.
A banana squishy.
We went to Poundland where most thins were sold at 1 pound, it reminded us of our Daiso in Singapore. We found the crisps we ate at the museum in Yarm. Yay.
Pretty town centre, lots to explore.
It was sunset and Xun remarked that Wai Po loved such pictures so she wanted to take a photo to send to her beloved grandmother.
Our home in Solihull.
Heh, we went to TK Maxx and Jie got a pair of sparkly sneakers at 10 pounds.
Dinner on Mon. I came up with a draft menu for the lunches and dinners for the entire week. Braised chicken wings and eggs. Papa gushed that it was absolutely delicious.
Jie's favourite - Crabstick omelette.
To Tudor Grange Park
I did not know what got into this little rascal, he was posing like a Korean superstar with those pouty lips and impish look. Tong called him a rock star!
Hmmm he did seem to have a flair for posing.
Sent some photos to Ah Ma and she exclaimed that he was so cute and wanted him to come back immediately so that she could cuddle him. ha.
Well, big gor gor also wanted to have a go at it.
Well, they played on the grassy slopes for quite a long time.
We stumbled upon a shop called Our Works that sold cheaper versions of those toys sold in high end toy stores. There were many DIY kits for making slime, stink bombs and even perfumes. Ha, the children had a whale of a time exploring this treasure trove. eh... a poop squishy?
Teriyaki Chicken wings and squid roll omelette for dinner. It seemed like Mama was getting better at cooking. heh
Tudor Grange Park
We finally got to Tudor Grange Park. There were always lots of these lalang looking bushy plants.
They loved to play with the stalks and watch the little seeds fly off into the sky.
Found the scenic lake and the birds flocked over thinking that we had food!
It was a very pretty sight. We could observe the birds at close range and noticed that they had beautiful waterproof feathers.
The model baby at work again. Look at that posture.
We promised the birds that we would come back with food the next day...ha but in the end, we went to Malvern Park on the next day.
A peaceful playground
Found a zipline. woooo hoooo
Ha, the wind was chilly. Had to cover my ears..
While the big ones zipped through the air, the littlest one was gorging on chocolate fingers.
It was surely fun here, hardly many people so we needed not wait for our turns.
A very tall slide and the dauntless one went up bravely.
Ha, our version of Stonehenge.
Ha a ring of magic toadstools. I was wearing Tong's beanie, which I thought was like the pig in the game "Angry Pig" but Tong claimed it was a dragon.
They said that the pink one was the biggest, hence it was Papa. The yellow one was Mama, blue was jie jie, red was Jun and green was Tong's.
Ha, we headed out really early as the cleaning aunties were here to clean up the apartment. It was unusual for us as the children usually slept till 9ish and would play 1 to 2 hours on the PS4 and it would be lunch time before we headed out.
Came back to this sight. The Aunties had put matching bedsheets on the kids' mattress! We had moved this mattress over from the other room so I could have peace of mind being able to watch over them at night.
Our living room
Dinner on Wed - Ribs from Sainsbury's and cabonara spaghetti
The ribs here were awesome. A full rack for 5 pounds and it was absolutely delectable.
Oh, we had been here for 10 days! 34 days to go : )
