(18 Nov 18 Sun) Cadbury World

On Sun, we went to Cadbury World! Ha, we set out bright and early as we did not want to miss our admission timing. It was free for Jun, hurray, and the tickets for a family of 2A and 2C cost less than 40 pounds, phew, it was the cheapest admission tickets we had bought thus far.

Ooooo a chocolate Christmas tree.

Oh we saw Freddo.

and Caramel Bunny

A magician came and showed us some amazing tricks. A surprise awaited us! They gave us 15 bars of chocolate for free when we entered the premise.

First up - Factory tour

Learnt how the Spanish conquerors came and conquered the illustrious and intelligent Mayan race who discovered cocoa...

Using hot molten chocolate to write our names

They recycled the chocolate, so it was not all poured and thrown away.

Tempering section

Had to flatten the melted chocolate

There were game machines.

A kiddy joy ride which brought us through the adorable world of cocoa beans

Ha the cute cocoa beans

Interactive games

We had to provide the perfect conditions for the cocoa trees to grow and harvest the beans. Did you know it took 5 years for a tree to grow before the fruit could be harvested?

Their favourite interactive game - they had to step on the chocolates and make them go splat!

Candy galore!

Outdoor play

We packed beef burgers from home and papa bought fries, soda and hot chocolate!

A complementary Santa's show, just for Christmas. Tong volunteered to help Santa to prepare presents for the elves.

More boxes of chocolates - all free! What a bumper crop. Heh, especially for Jun, since he did not need to pay for admission.

Went for the 4D cinema show. It was fun. The most exhilarating part was the simulation on a really steep roller coaster.

Saw another mascot!

Strolling through the grounds

Joyrides

The fragrant aroma of chocolate in the air... oh my...

Saw a really quaint cottage. It was a club house. The family who started the Cadbury chocolate factory was a visionary one. They believed in improving the lives of the people who worked for them and sought to create a community, so they built schools, a hospital and other amenities around the factory!

On the way to the Frankfurt Christmas market - it was very renowned and supposed one of the best Christmas markets in the UK!

Ha, saw many road signs with "Hill Street" on it

Yay, after a really long walk, we reached Victoria Sq.

Breatktaking stalls, such a festive atmosphere

Stalls selling all the famous German food and beer!

The littles one was fast asleep, papa's arms almost broke

Jie was enarmoured with the pretty crystals

The stalls were decorated so elaborately

Yay, found a bubble tea shop. Had a warm cup of lemon green tea with pearls...it cost 4.50 pounds, that was one costly cup of bubble tea!

Chinese supermarket! Oh, the Asian snacks were so expensive, but we missed them so much..

Home again, papa cooked instant noodles for the children and we ate the leftover beef burgers. Ah, home sweet home.
