(4 Nov 18) Flying to the UK!

It was almost midnight on 4 Nov 2018, we were at the airport, all ready to embark on another adventure together as a family!

San Yi came to send us off. The other time, we went to the USA for 6 months, er yi and xiao yi came too. We had a photo of 4 weeping sisters. ha...well it was only for 6.5 weeks this time round.

Aden claimed that he was Spiderman, so he was always making funny postures..

Mama promised to buy matching tops for the boys so that they could put on the dashing wear and take photos together. Ah...needed to find one set for Xun and Yanjie too.

Wanted them to hug one another for a nice shot and Jun ran to cuddle his siblings when I said "Hug hug". Tong was so amused and chuckled. 

Bye for 44 days!

Had some fun checking out the stores before we went to the plane.

Ok, all ready for takeoff. Xun and Tong sat with papa.

Jun sat with mama. He was a good traveler, did not make any fuss and slept most of the time.

Day 1 in the UK! Landed in London.

A long 13+hour flight. what a relief to finally reach London. First stop - eh...Macdonald's. Ha. The children were glad as they could play games on the smart devices.

The beginning of a 44-day adventure in the UK.

A little chilly at 12 degrees celsius.

First shopping destination - Swindon Outlet. It was previously a railway station, so we could see all the relics which were related to the mode of transportation.

There was a playground at the mall. Good place for them to build up some energy. 

Quaint place. 

Ok, end of the shopping trip. We went to a Chinese supermarket in the evening and stocked up on Yong Tau Hu ingredients, rice and all the Chinese food that we loved back in Singapore and went back to our apartment.

Day 2 - Road trip to Yarm (6 Nov Tues)

All warm and toasty in the car. We bought merino wool outfits from Taobao and they were amazingly comfortable and warm. 

The three peas bought cute beanies from one of the stores at the outlet mall. They looked so adorable in them. 

After an arduous 3-hour long ride, we finally reached the apartment we were staying at for 4 days in Yarm! Papa was needed at this office, so we followed him.

Of course, the day would not be complete without indulging in snacks and junk food. Nothing much on Day 2. Papa went to work. Mama allowed the children to watch Nick Junior (ha in Chinese as that was the language the programs came in with the streaming device papa brought along), watched movies on Netflix on my phone (yay 30-day free membership) and we pretty much just chilled at home. It was a torture to bathe, so chilly....argh....

Ok we were going to explore the area tomorrow!
