(19 - 23 Nov 18) Gallivanting in Solihull

Well, it was time to snuggle up and sleep. We pulled the queen-sized bed from the other room to put it in the master bedroom so we could all sleep in the same room. Jun loved the furry blanket...and his bears...

Every night, before he slept, he would ask the older siblings to play cars with him before they went to bed. I would accompany them till they slept, then watched some TV with papa, slept in my own bed. Jun would usually wake up at 3am and come into the queen-sized bed. Tong would wait for papa to go to work before he sneaked into bed with warm Jun Jun.

He also had a queer habit of lying on his sister's butt. ha.

I supposed Jie's perky butt made a good plush pillow.

On Monday, we ventured to the snow pit again! The lady in charge recognized us and said, "You know what to do!" ha...well we stayed there for almost two hours again.

The children prayed that it would really snow in Solihull.

Well, with the addition of Emmelyn, I told papa that we would have family members born in all the seasons of the year. Emmelyn was a spring baby, Papa was a summer baby, Mama and Jun were autumn babies and Jie and Tong were winter babies.

Well, the children were very adaptable and did not mind the chilly weather at all.

Ha, Tong put a bath bomb and had a fragrant bubble bath.

Papa in his very thick wooly jacket.

It was a very wintry day on Tues so we did not head out. We cuddled up in bed under the toasty comforter and watched movies on Netflix on mama's phone.

On Wed, we went to Tudor Grange Park armed with a huge loaf of bread and 1kg of rice to feed the birds. They swarmed over once they detected the presence of humans!

It was safer to feed them when they were behind the bars.

We got them out and a few were so aggressive that they pecked our fingers and chased the hapless Jun! ha...well, he was just as tall as the swans.

Jie loved to throw the bread into the air and watch the pigeons swoop and get them in mid-air. She felt like she was a bird trainer and performing an aerial show.

Back to our cozy home. Well, Jun was beguiling us with his cute poses and looks again.

Ha, the snow pit again on Thursday.

They loved to check out the candy machines. Jie found 20 pence so they got a free portion of candy! From then on, they would check every slot every time they passed by the machines.

The baby was having fun...

A boy came to join them in their snowball fight. Mostly, it was the boys ganging up against poor jie jie.

The puffy "snowballs"

They added a slide too.

Sent some photos to Waipo and Waigong commented that Jun seemed to have grown so much and was a big boy now.

Ha, mama cooked a delicious tummy-warming bowl of sweet potato longan soup for herself and papa. Orrr the sweet reminder of home.

So the baby did not only love to snuggle up with his jie but also with his darling gor gor.

Tong loved to hold Jun's hand when they were in bed, he gushed about how warm and small Jun's hands were.

The lazy bums... it was TV and PS4 games all the time. What a holiday.

Ha, our week was just made up of visits to the snow pit and the park. oh...and Poundland and Sainsbury's...haha. We had not even checked out the library!

Enjoying his bak kwa while playing on the merry-go-round.

We learnt from another stranger who was feeding the birds that we could buy bird feed from Poundland! Perhaps we would do that next time.

The little hamster was exceptionally hungry that night and gobbled up the udon noodles. That was his favourite meal, it was always udon noodles!

K the weekend was here! We would be going to Wales! The children exclaimed that they were using the Welsh team in their FIFA game. Ha... 3 weeks had flown by in the blink of an eye. Woah, half of the holiday was over!
