We had a full itinerary for the whole week...eh...somehow we did not manage to fulfill all..
Monday was supposed to be library and gardens by the Bay but tong tong had a fever...sigh..it was the second episode of fever for tong in the short time since we had tim...so we could not go anywhere and we stayed at home. We went to Potong Pasir at night to take the keys from our tenants who were leaving after staying there for 3.5 years. They were really good tenants and mama hoped they would come back after their new lease ended. Apparently, they really liked the place but the dust from the construction was really terrible..oh well...
On tuesday, we went to the zoo. Papa took the pass from sembcorp, alas, the weather was disappointing. It was drizzling all the while when we were at River Safari and Singapore Zoo. It was sheltered at River Safari so it was just a tad wet and cold. The rain let up a little at the zoo, it was a pity the shows were cancelled due to the weather. It became balmier in the late afternoon, so we had a little sunshine before we headed home. Not the most ideal weather but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.
Tong loved to read the maps, and he had specific animals that he wanted to see. Being a perfectionist, he could get a little inflexible. Like we did not see the pheasant at River Safari and he got really upset. Papa told him that the pheasant could not come out in the rain and mama showed him a video on youtube on the pheasant...well...hope tong put his perfectionist streak in his work and pursuits in future..heh heh heh
Kai kai was here...saw on the CCTV that jia jia was in the den
always soothing and therapeutic to be at the aquarium..it was very fun reading up the facts and some were simply mind-blowing...
the kids liked to read the signs, they liked to find out what was written...hopefully the two of you would learn to read soon..but then, maybe mummy would miss the days when we would have reading time together, all snuggled up in our cozy bed?
we never saw the polar bear though we had gone to the zoo a few times on our own..always saw the empty pool, turned out that we had to check out the den
tong was truly thrilled to see the lumbering bear, and how opportune we were, we caught a glimpse just before it went into the den
the igloo in the polar bear exhibit...
wanted to catch the elephant show but it was cancelled
but the feeding session still went on...jie fed the elephants but the timid tong tong absolutely refused
went to the kids' section, your favourite. The water play was operating but you were not allowed to go as both of you had been coughing and tong just recovered from his fever...
never mind, we could still take the pony and carousel
On Wednesday, we went to Toa Payoh to meet uncle Huimin to discuss about Tim's insurance policies and met up with the lawyer to sign the mortgage to refinance our house.
saw a christmas tree at the atrium and you insisted on a photo
papa had to go back to the office for a meeting so we went to Little Planet at Centrepoint.
What luck. We were there at 1 pm, when the show just started. Sat down for awhile and the two of you decided to leave as they were just belting out songs and there was no real storyline
it was really uncrowded though, what a surprise.
ha went to the nursing room several times, in those few hours at the indoor playground, mama had gone to the toilet 5, 6 times? The nursing room was really pretty...looked like someone's bedroom
our little tim tim was growing so well...getting chubbier and weightier day by day
the two of you fussed and gushed over him all the time...what mama's ex colleague said was true, the third child was the sealant that glued the family tightly together...
our very cute jie jie...papa's ex colleague, Uncle Yew Ming, gave this bunny to tim...but you usurped it..named it "bun bun" and brought it everywhere you went.
oh a knight who was shopping at the supermarket?
the two of you claimed you were married and had many more children than papa and mama...rather charming to hear the two of you talk about scolding the kids, setting boundaries, asking them to eat proper food before snack was allowed..hehheee
a knight shoveling and farming? It tickled you when I mentioned that the knight was doing alot of menial stuff, besides guiding the castle gallantly
it was totally empty for a few hours before a few people trickled in. we went to the nearby coffee shop to eat again..YAY mama survived a few hours, juggling all three kids myself. YAY.
On thursday, papa went to play golf and headed to somewhere to pick up his no 1 uniform. So we took the train to Lot 1. jie jie saw the display and requested for photos again. Ha
even mama was not tall enough to see through this doughnut's face.
took the meow meow bus to IMM. ha, mama single handedly brought the 3 of you on lrt, mrt and shuttle bus to IMM! while the boys were at 12 cupcakes, mama sneaked off with xun to do some shopping. we saw this christmas display
and xun exclaimed she would bring the boys here for a surprise
On friday, we went back to Potong Pasir to wait for the electrician to repair the faulty socket...then had a cheap lunch at the shop downstairs...ah...the kind of food papa liked, unhealthy maggie mee with hotdogs and luncheon meat. ha
our adorable little bundle of joy
headed to MBS, coincidentally, JJ was also watching that particular show, they bought the really expensive tickets, so we could not sit together, ha.
while mama stayed with tim, papa brought the two little cheeky ones for the Mickey Mouse show. eh...my goodness, tong fell asleep!
aunt val was really funny. she sent this to mama, telling mama bout the scantily clad mermaid and kissing scene.
the ice skating rink was transformed into a winter wonderland
papa was so indulgent, he paid $15 for a bag of candy floss...oh well we got a flounder hat thrown in with the treat
uncle zhihong paid $15 for a drink and popcorn. alas what exorbitant prices!
and the ravenous ones wolfed down the treats
Ob Satueday, we went to Mac for breakfast and sembawang to swim.
papa helped mama out in the morning by bringing tim out so mama could nap for one ot two more hours. better nights ahead, we proclaimed in Jesus' name.
went to papa's colleague's house warming. lots of helping hands! what a relief. you two played with the other kids and had such fun that you asked to meet again.
On Sunday, we went to the airport to send papa off. he would be in india for a few days...
there were many displays around so we had a whale of a time checking them out
had lunch then waited with papa until his colleagues came
jie was weeping when papa left, the pitiful sweetheart,
good thing we could go to the bouncy castle, some christmas activity and we had to split up the bill at /crystal jade really meticulously so that we could have two receipts of $30 each, ha
had to wait for 50 min, so we went to the free playground and stencil station at basement, then whiled away the time with playing with paper aeroplanes
the bouncy castle activity was only for 10 min, alas, but the two of you were delighted with the experience, there was a humongous slide and you scaled the climbing wall.
so,,,today was already tuesday, we had managed two days on our own, waipo cooked and brought dinner over so that was a tremendous help. loved waipo's cooking,,,oh well...i probably would start cooking when the 3 of you attend primary school...
a last shot to end this post,,,, gosh not only do these two boys look alike, they even had the same sleeping posture... welll...mama put tim on his tummy as he slept better that way,,,tong still preferred this position even now, papa explained it was really quite comfy...haha
we would be having such joyful days ahead, all 5 of us...thankful to Jesus... for He made everything so good so good...life is sweet..
