mama had a back log of blogs ever since the celebrations started, this was like my 4th blog for the night? Ha, only got to enjoy quiet moments at ah ma's house when ah ma could help to take care of Jun and I could write...so....the writings seemed rather rushed and curt..haha
FOOD for thought
went to Botanic Gardens to meet friends on a blistering day
walked to check out the swan lake as tong was enamored with swans and fishes
saw Ashley and Beverly along the way, they were on their way back and we dragged them there again
the girls sought shelter at the gazebo...picturesque spot
tong went to look at the turtles, arowanda...there were even catfish....my goodness, wished we had brought bread along to feed them...eh...but no sight of the swan
Food for thought was a lovely café...more like a spacious hippy canteen...it was quiet on a Monday morning...
liked that they had a playground outside. ha...nowadays mama checked out all the nice kids-friendly cafes...
Xun enjoyed playing with Ashley, they were close in age, Ashley was only 2 months older
tong enjoyed playing with the girls
2 year plus Kayson
the food was reasonably priced, portion was good and yummy
Auntie Yansian gave treats to all the kids....orrrr wished I had one, I loved gummies too and who could resist such appealing festive looking ones
tong pleaded to visit the turtles before we went home...maybe we should make a trip to Botanic Gardens with Wai gong some day...when the weather was a little less harsh
playing a while more while the mamas lounged in the air -conditioned comfortable café
of course, group shot before we left
even made a birthday calendar for the group...we should be meeting up more!
at JJ's
ah gong picked us up from Botanic Gardens and sent us to JJ's house where we continued to have fun
the kids really liked the sushi they made for themselves and ate quite a lot...ha
aunt val was so considerate, she bought the beancurd skin just for tong tong who ate up 4 pieces stuffed with rice, plus some crabsticks?! I must say, he really could eat when he felt like doing so
someone commented we had very few photos of jun...so here was a photo of angelic jun, with the bangle bestowed by his kooky sister.
thought tong looked dandy with his bracelet, it was a gift from Gayle, she gave to xun, tong and JJ
went to take passport photos for Jun, ha he looked like tong...and chubby too
the smitten sister...ha I was shocked when jie carried the crying jun out to the kitchen one day when mama was busying preparing things...I did not know xun could carry jun!
she was a very good keeper, she would talk and sing to him in the car to calm and comfort him when he cried
ha, saw some old photos...and brought back sweet memories
wish we could go back to USA soon...perhaps end 2017 when jun was older
godma sent this photo...xun was perhaps less than 1? ha we still had this rabbit
ha and an older xun with a penchant for ice cream and still did today...you really had a sweet tooth...talking of tooth, you had your third wobbly tooth..oh my , our little xun was growing up fast
not looking forward to the teens years..and could not believe I was in my mid 30s...and the year had flown by, seemingly literally in a blink of an eye...
papa was talking about all three of you in primary school...oh my..we would be in our 40s then..ha it seemed like time had accelerated ever since we turned 25 and then started having kids...
sweet sweet memories, thank you for being a part of our family.
