So on Monday, we headed to the Toa Payoh Library to hunt for some books before we headed to The
Peak@Toa Payoh, a DBSS HDB development which looked like a posh condominium, to visit Auntie Khai Ying! She was mama's counterpart in HDB when mama was working in Singapore Land Authority. Well, she was having her maternity leave and I thought it would perk her up to have some adult company : )
Her house was beautifully done up, hmmm, a pity we forgot to take any photo of the house and with her! Ha, but we had a good time at the playground.
| A towering slide. Tong had learnt to slide down the normal way, instead of on his belly. What an advancement. |
| A picture of the spanking new HDB flat |
| The two of you had lotsa joy going up and down umpteen times... |
| Spinning on the roundabout.. |
| Swivel swivel swivel |
| Ha, taking a pee before we took a cab home...Xun, you had progressed to no diapers when went out. You found it very uncomfortable and was proud that you no longer needed the diapers, except when you slept. Ya, sometimes you were so finicky, should the diapers got slightly damp, you would insist on changing. Ha, wasted so many...grrrr |
Heh, finally done.
OH well, home sweet home...Carrying the little baby in my arms reminded me of the times when you and Tong were so helpless and tiny...now you two were so loquacious and demanding, constantly clamouring for stuff and attention! Oh but I know, I should revel in this now...one day you would be brooding dour teenagers...ah....
ON Tuesdays, we always headed to the former Bukit Timah Fire Station for the Montessori lessons at SAA discovery Centre (we fondly named it the 'Orange Building School'). Never had the chance to take photos...here were some... |
| Tong's favourite segment was probably the snack time...and the climbing of stairs...esp to the tune of "hold the railings, hold the railings, hold the railings everyone..." |
| THis week, the snack time was a fire engine made from biscuits and red icing... You were thrilled with the mini oreo biscuits. This jolted my memory, I got to put mini oreos into our grocery list... |
| There were many activities...and many toys... |
| Tong found a dog and could not stop making the barking "wor wor" sound... |
You played with starch...ooooo....
Well, mama liked the school as it was affordable ($20 per pax per session. Some enrichment centres were asking for $80 per session!) and we could all attend lessons together! Many schools rejected my request to have both of you in the same class and you always held firm that you did not want to attend school as you wanted to stay with me forever...well...we shall see : )
