It was papa's work place's family day so we embarked on a thrilling journey to Universal Studios Singapore! It was Xun's third time but I did not think you had much recollection of the previous two times. You were certainly exhilarated to be going to the "Castle".
Ah, the iconic misty globe
We spotted this Reese's mascot and you were rather apprehensive at first but warmed up to "it". Later on, you brought papa to see it and it pretended to be a statue by standing very still against the door! If I had not seen the moving one earlier, I would have mistaken it as a real statue!
The adventure began! We caught sight of the woodpeckers and zoomed in for a photo.
Simple pleasure like playing with bubbles...
Holding jie jie's hand and strolling together...
You did not enjoy the Madagascar ride as it went through a dark cavern and had scary images like the lion being trapped in a spider web and eerie sounds...well, but you sure liked the carousel!
You loved the giraffe for some reason..finally old and brave enough to sit without papa's supervision...
Lunch time at the Madagascar restaurant which had a nifty water mill!
The prehistoric World!
We took a dinosaur ride which allowed us to control its flight up and down. It was good!
Making silly poses again...
The Sesame Street Section! We met the grouchy Oscar in the bin! He was all bright and chirpy though...
Tong Could not resist the cuddly toys...
There was a ride which required the children to be 92 cm tall so Tong and I chilled at the roadside while you and papa went in.
We spent a good 5 hours in USS. Both of you slept for a long while in the car while papa ran an errand (he signed up for the CSC membership in order to get a free GPS watch! ah ha, he had bargain sniffing abilities like mama.)
At the end of the day, you still talked enthusiastically about the visit. You went through the map with papa, detailing all the places we went. You even impressed us by saying we went to the "Egyptian" area when you saw those huge statutes and asked why the Sphinx was not there. Hmmm...must be the Little Einsteins program. WOW. When we had stories in the dark, we talked about it again. Strangely, you said you did not want to go back, perhaps it was the frightening 4D shrek ride and the dark Madagascar ride. You loved the funny Donkey talk show though, you shared it was your favourite.
Tong was already soundly asleep in his lala land. It had been a wonderful day of family bonding. We loved you to bits sweethearts, our precious little sweethearts, our babies forever.
