We were counting down to San yi's wedidng. Just a little over a week and Wai po would see another of her precious daughters leaving the house...oh oh oh...San Yi was all smiles, she had been eagerly anticipating for this day...
On our usual Thursdays gathering, Wai po whipped up a steamboat dinner, it was sumptuous with our favourite crabsticks, hotdogs, fishball, pork, the usual food galore you would have at steamboats PLUS fat juicy succulent scallops. oooo oooo.
After dinner, we presented San Yi with our little token of love...it was a scrap book painstakingly done up by Er yi (the ever creative one) and all of us penned a message to bless them.
We also blessed them with silky PJs....er yi thought san yi was looking for one and did not know that she had already bought a set. Well...it was always good to have spare ones!
Erm...and a box of condoms too...and er yi let slip that it was her favourite and we all erupted in raucous laughter and hollered that it was "too much information"! You see, er yi had a pet name called "Big trumpet" (in chinese), she often broadcast the weirdest and funniest things to people, things that one would keep to oneself...giggles...
Oct was a month of great events...san yi was getting married, er yi was due to deliver to baby Ryan...
Wai po did not know what the commotion was all about and we did not let her into the joke...
San yi was visibly touched by the gift...
Xiaoyi had a love-hate relationship with san yi. You see, Xiaoyi was not exactly the neatest and most considerate roomers..she often left her clothes all over the place...and even half consumed food...yikes...she was often reprimanded by san yi...oh well...but she said she would miss san yi...and I believe...san yi might just miss xiaoyi too...san yi might look tough and gungho, but she actually had a very soft heart...
Ok, time to celebrate my birthday. I turned 32! What a beautiful family, papa would always say....mama was very blessed, very blessed, truly living out days of heaven on earth...
On a separate note, we met up with Aunt Michelle and Gideon who came to Singapore to visit her parents. Being hospitable and proud of our house, we invited them over. papa and mama loved to host guests. Guests often raved about the house's spacious layout and how it was a value-for-money purchase.
Auntie choon chi blessed mama with two cakes from Awfully Chocolate. They were really absolutely delish. I thought how sweet she was to remember that mama loved rum and raisin. Then she bought another non-alcoholic one for the kids.
Well, we planned to visit Aunt Michelle next year in USA with Aunt Choon Chi's family. Definitely looking forward to it. Got to start saving up!
