((2 Dec 13 Mon) Little Big Club show at United Square

Papa took leave on Monday so he could rest from the Kukup trip. It was a beneficial thing to have papa around as he could drive us to far flung shopping centres in the city for us to catch those free performances. Today, we ventured to United Square!

we lunched at Hong Kong Cafe so we could clock up enough money to exchange for a photo pass.

Beautifully decorated, a chandelier of fairy lights!

The sparkling stage...
mama was puzzled why the hosts for such shows were usually ang mohs...surely the locals could do a good job too?

Angelina and Alice - xun's delights.

Dancing to the tune...

papa's sweetheart... tong was snoozing away..

Fireman Sam, we were not too familiar with him, i did not think we had seen his cartoons before.

The naughty boy, Norman, who set fires..
Oh, the crowd's favourite - Barney - was here. Erm..we never fathom why kids adore this rather queer looking dinosaur...but yeh, the other kids loved him.

I liked the other dinosaurs though, they were cute and cuddly...

Especially this tiny orange one who had a spunky personality. I wondered if the smaller dinosaurs were acted by children for they seemed rather short...

The finale of Christmas songs...

Yeh a photo shoot. We could choose between Firesam, Barney and Angelina. Xun chose Angelina. Tong woke up in time to get a photo to prove that he had been there.

Since tong had a siesta and papa needed to go to Sim lim to run errands, we headed to Singkids. In fact, Xun recognized it when we walked past it and asked papa to bring her there after the show and Tong was thrilled to see the balloon enclosure and could not wait.

Well, mama had blogged about Singkids before so I would not duplicate here. Only worthy point of mention was the staff was inflating balloons and the two of you went to help. How totally charming.

We passed by the $10 haircut shop and tong wanted to ride on the train joy ride. Erm...it was more expensive than our usual $6 hair cut at Plaza...but it was definitely more affordable than a comparable one just upstairs which charged $24! It had a mini tv screen for the young ones but we really did not need those frills.

The auntie shaved off tong's hair with a razor blade. By now, Tong was pretty seasoned at having his hair cut and could sit still for a long time all on his own. Our grown tong tong!

Tickled by the bits of stray hair on his face...

The handsome young man with his new crew cut.

papa had his hair cut too, a paltry sum to pay compared to what he usually had in Jean Yip salons but it sufficed.

Ok home sweet home now.
