Ah, the Cbeebies show at Plaza Singapura. We got Aunt Karen to help buy the Ariel Lego toy as her sister worked at Toy r' us and met her there. It was her first time watching this kind of stage performance, well, maybe she would be frequenting these when her baby son, Joshua, was bigger.
| One of the rare Asian hosts for such shows! |
| Waiting eagerly for the show to start. |
Of course, all the children were exhorted to dance along to the merry tunes.
Next, the Zingzillas. Hmm, we seldom watched Starhub channel 303 as we liked the shows on Nick Junior on channel 304. We were not too familiar with these creatures but well...you two would have a whale of time anyway just being able to watch live shows.
Unfortunately, there was a power trip nearing the end of the show and the sound system failed! They had to stop the show abruptly and go into the meet-and-greet. Xun, you wanted to go up for a photo as usual but we did not spend enough to get a photo pass. well, the sweet and understanding you settled for a photo with the empty stage as background while tong was snoozing away in lala land. My goodness, he was really getting heavier, this 12 kg bag of rice.
Oooo, decorations hanging from the ceiling...
There were activity tables and you collected a worksheet and stickers. We waited for papa to come and pick us. He had gone for an early golf game and the timing was perfect. Oh and I got to explain why you were wearing the bridal hairband. Mama bought this for you to be a flower girl at San Yi's wedding. Yesterday, you bought another one at Universal Studios even though I said you already had one. So we took out this older one and you decided you wanted to wear it out. It certainly attracted lots of adoring looks from strangers. You were hilarious, you put the other wedding hairband on a balloon and said the balloon was getting married too. haha.
Ok, naptime for the entire family and it was time to head to the Macs birthday party. You wet your pants while peeing so you requested to change. Party wear. You chose this purple shimmery dress and put on the wedding hairband and was all dolled up and ready to go. Mama's heart glowed with pride looking at just how absolutely sweet and pretty you were. Oh, on a side note, mama went to church yesterday and the lady sitting next to me remarked that, "You are soo pretty!" It made my day, though I noticed that she was...slightly cross-eyed. But hey, mama's Jesus' girl and He renewed my youth like the eagles.
Oh the prince and the princess at the Party!
The cupcakes were SOOO good, I thought we definitely must order them for the next birthday celebration. It was baked by Aunt Ester's church friend, the girl was only in her late teens. Wow, kids were so full of entrepreneurship nowadays. I hoped the two of you would be so resourceful and enterprising too!
Ok, end of party, grocery shopping and tong tong badgered us relentless to go home and bathe. Ha...yeh the two of you loved playing in the bath tub, baths were often more than half an hour long...you would make up so many games, like opening a cake shop, painting on the wall, playing "hide the duckies", making bubble solution...ha...
the two of you nestled beside mama as we went to sleep...it gave me great joy to see the two of you growing up so finely...thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus for such a privilege.
