I thought we had attended almost every free show in town...ha..this time round, we went to Takashimaya, yeh all the way to town. Well, the ever-sacrificial ah gong came to fetch us there and, of course, home too.
Checking out the toys on display
Toys galore, it was a hive of activity with hordes of parents in a frenzy buying presents and kids clamoring to try the tests on display..
There was a robot and it was rather adorable! Imagine having a robot toy to serve you food at home.
Photo with the "new domestic helper"
We were among the last to enter the audience area, good thing we got a seat.
Games before the show started. Xun, you wanted to go up, as usual, too bad you were not chosen.
Brad and Natasha, the hosts. They really jazzed up the performance with their exuberance. It was one of the best shows we attended, very interactive with a few activities which required the children to help out on the stage. For example, helping Big Bird to hang the decorations on the tree, helping Cookie Monster to switch on the starry lights on the stage, to help Elmo fill the letters to send to Santa Claus and to help Ernie and Bert put up the missing letters on the banner.
The great musical!
Finale with confetti and the kids cheered wildly.
Time to have the greet-and-meet. It was the only show thus far that did not require a minimum spending to get a photo pass. So long you managed to get into the audience area, you would get to take a photo. Didi was asleep and so mama had to carry him and queue up for you. We were in no hurry so we were among the last few. You went to the steps to play with the confetti and sneakily sidled into the queue! You were so innocent and inconspicuous so nobody seemed to notice! Instead of being the last few, you went up pretty soon and was so brave even though you were alone : )
Tong tong woke up and we went to see the Christmas trees. This was decorated by Tiffany so it had all the signature tiffany green baubles.
Macaron Tree by Laduree, it was a premier confectionery shop.
Ambling down Orchard Road, soaking in the festive ambience...
The ornate gold Christmas tree with angels at Paragon...
Ha a gigantic ferrero rocher tree...oooo scrumptious...
Further down to Mandarin Gallery where there were quirky blue trees and rings...
Would have been great if we could have lingered on the road to eat ice cream sold on carts...well Ah Gong was done with shopping with Ah Ma and had nothing to do in Orchard and was all ready to send us home. So we hurried to meet ah Gong and went home : )
