The very last show we caught from the Christmas Season was the Forever Friends Bears show at Northpoint. Ah ha, and with who else, but our beloved auntie a and her family. We took the bus there and arrived to an empty stage and audience area. Surprising. Having been used to having to queue, jostle and squeeze in as-packed-as-sardines mall performances, this was refreshing...ha...
Time to start the show!
Ginger Bear and Honey Bear. The story was about the spirit of giving and sharing, how it was more blessed to give than to receive. Ha, good old-fashioned moralistic story...Ginger was sad as she did not have friends., she finally found one in all of us, the hosts and honey bear. Ermm...one tiny problem. Honey bear did not want to share presents with her but learnt to do so in the end. So all was well and all ends on a happily ever after note.
Not the best show we had caught so far...but you enjoyed it all the same. This convinced me that it took very little to make a child happy...a child felt happy simply because he had a new experience with someone he loved...
Dancing time! Tong boogied to the song while gorging on fries...
Ah, we did not know kay was sitting just behind us with her papa! Auntie A said kay was clamouring to see us before she came out of the house. However, she would often be very shy and reserved when we met up. ha...
They released tiny snow flakes too, a pity they were really sparse and tiny..

Kay went nearer to the stage to catch the snow flakes...
Photo taking time. It was free!
Then we headed to Hong Kong Cafe for lunch...ha Auntie A and kay with their monster faces...
mei mei avery, it would be such fun to have the 4 of you playing together in future...ooo childhood friends...auntie a is mummy's keeper in the mothering journey. She always shared nuggets of parenting philosophy with me and she is so well-read! She researches and mediates on the schools of thought and can explain to me really concisely so it saved me the trouble of having to read them! Ha...she could put into words things I only vaguely have a visceral feeling about...she is one cool cat.
We wanted to play at the playground but it was closed, AGAIN, it was closed the other time too when we came, due to the rain. What rain? It was like a tiny drizzle. So we went to the tiny children's section which had a few joyrides. yeh nothing dampened our spirits when we were with good friends.
oooo the childhood lovers?
Alas, I never took a photo of auntie pong and caylum who joined us too. Had to leave the party earlier since it was time to go home for a nap and of course, our darling ah gong was here to fetch.
Auntie a told us how kay loved outings with you and tong, that it appeared that you all did not play with one another per say, but it was fun just hanging out together! That she chattered about you all the way home and before she slept...You had such favour with people...thank you Jesus, for blessing the two of you to have favour with people...amen.
